ANTIRES - new joint project (June 2016)
The new cluster 'ANTIRES' is a co-operation project between academic partners in Greifswald, Berlin and Göttingen together with Analytik Jena AG.
A rapidly increasing threat is arising from new or resistant pathogens and their growing global circulation that affects all areas of human life. This threat is further afflicted with a drastic lack of (new) effective drugs as well as insufficient preventive and diagnostic possibilities.
Within the ANTIRES-Cluster scientists will examine the distribution of antibiotic resistances in municipal wastewaters. In close co-operation with experts from Analytik Jena AG a new chip based tool for the analysis of antibiotic resistances will be developed.

InfectControl 2020 is a consortium of representatives from enterprises and academia that jointly aims at developing solutions regarding these problems on a national and global level.
