Successful ANTIRES project extended (Apr 2019)

- co-operation between the Universities in Greifswald and Göttingen.

A rapidly increasing threat is arising from new or resistant pathogens and their growing global circulation that affects all areas of human life. This threat is further afflicted with a drastic lack of (new) effective drugs as well as insufficient preventive and diagnostic possibilities.
Based on the results of the ANTIRES project ANTIRES 2.0 scientists will develop new methods to prevent or at least reduce the distribution of antibiotic resistances in municipal wastewaters. The studies will be done in close co-operation with the associated partners from the Leibniz-Institut für Plasmaforschung und Technologie (INP).

InfectControl 2020 is a consortium of representatives from enterprises and academia that jointly aims at developing solutions regarding the problems arising from new or resistant pathogens and their growing global circulation on a national and global level.
